
What's a Blog?
A blog is a personal website, usually made up of a single page, where one posts (=writes) about a given theme/topic (specific or generic). Posts (texts) are stored according to the date they are published, and are usually archived by moth or week. A blog is organized in a reverse chronological order. i.e., the last published post is displayed on the top of the blog page.
What is a wiki?
A wiki is a webpage, or a set of webpages, which can be created and constantly edited and re-edited by one or more people, who work collaboratively around a topic or area of expertise.

BLOGS
· Generally, developed only by one person and read by many;
· Structured in reverse order;
· Personal reflection of one’s (learning) experiences;
· Not necessarily limited to one single topic;
· Connects to outside resources and audiences;* Allows interaction with its readers
· Encourages free and informal discourse;
· Promotes the progressive development of writing skills by the publication of new posts;
· Can help develop a reflexive and writing culture which may ease dissertation writing process

WIKIS
· Usually developed by several authors and read by many;
· Structured according to the organization of content;
· Objective and factual;
· Topical;
· Connects to external and internal resources and by a topic interested audience;
· Allows comments by the learning community;
· Encourages structured speech;
· Promotes a continuous revision of the existing resources and addition of new ones;
· Can help narrow down and structure the research process.
